Vulpera Hideout

My Vulpera Hideout! This here is the hideout of a Vulpera carpenter.

Initially he just wanted to craft some planters with the driftwood he found. Soon the realization came that he couldn’t see anything at night so that’s why he made a few lanterns. After that he hung up some ropes and nailed some planks in order to climb the branches and water his plants from above. All of a sudden, he noticed he was spending more than a few hours here on a daily basis so he made a large wooden construction to sleep in, brought some cushions and a Vulpera cloth and that’s when it hit him. This place started to feel more like home than home did.

This scene here was my small scene project for Ashleigh Warner’s CGMA course: Creating Stylized Game Assets. I worked on this for a few weeks, slowly building out the project and came back to it a few months ago, learned how to use Unreal Engine and finished the project.

The piece is inspired by the work of Blizzard artists: Gabe Gonzalez & Jeffrey Chuang. It was a challenge to make it look Vulpera enough and put my own spin on it at the same time but I’m glad with how it came out. Thanks again to Ashleigh and my course mates for the feedback during the process!
